O Outbound marketingMarketing, also known as traditional or interruptive marketing, refers to marketing strategies in which a company initiates communication and sends its message to a target audience.
This can be done through TV and radio ads, print advertising (such as magazines, flyers and billboards), telemarketing calls and other traditional methods.
In contrast to inbound marketingwhere the customer actively seeks out the company, the outbound marketing is more proactive and usually interrupts the consumer to get their attention.
While it can be effective in reaching a wide audience quickly, it can be seen as intrusive by some consumers and, as a result, the effectiveness of certain outbound tactics has diminished in the digital age.
